michelle berlin

  • Michelle began her path of yoga many years ago which transpired into teaching in 2007. After a car accident created multiple spinal injuries, and her doctors told her the only option was major surgery, Michelle began looking for alternative treatments. She decided to take the lead in her own healing, and began studying and practicing Iyengar Yoga and Krama Vinyasa Yoga. Now her body is in great health and her mind is teady.

While in India, she studied at Iyengar Himalayan, Osho Meditation Center & Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. Her thirst for knowledge in the healing arts lead her to Nepal where she had. theopportunity to study with Tibetan Monks and the way they integrate sound in their daily meditation practice. While in the Himalayas, she did an apprenticeship with a 5th generation sound shaman in a small village in Annapurna.

Michelle has traveled to 46 countries in the past 20 years and has soaked in the ancient wisdom of many shamanic cultures, easter practices and yogic traditions. The knowledge she has absorbed shines through in her offerings.

dan phalen

  • It’s not the journey into yoga one hopes for, but for Dan it was triggered by the passing of his grandmothers. At that time, he was shattered, with no hope of how or when he could emotionally heal himself.

The first day he walked out of yoga class however, he knew his life was changed for the better, and that yoga was calling him back for more. Almost immediately, he dove right in, saying it allowed him to emotionally, physically and spiritually “drain himself.”

Thanks to yoga, he learned his purpose was to spread light and love to those around him. Taking this mission forward, he completed extensive teacher trainings in power vinyasa in both Ohio and Florida.

His teaching practice today combines strength building asana with breath work and guided meditation. His goal to help his students unleash any restraints, push them outside their physical comfort zone, and ultimately come into a more grounded, peaceful place that lies within.

Maddie brisbane

  • The practice of yoga asks us to peel back the layers to align with the essence of our center—the place in which intelligence, intuition, and intention converge. That is exactly why Maddie continues to fall more in love with this practice every single day. During her early days as a figure skater, she did not feel graceful in her body. The sweet balance of strength and grace that yoga asana invites us to embrace was what first drew her to step on the mat for the first time. After 10 years of practicing and 7 years of teaching, Maddie beams at knowing the journey of yoga continues well after shavasana ends, as the philosophies of the practice permeate daily life on and off the mat. Her classes blend creativity, dynamic movement, and the sweet slow burn of strong shapes and holds. She invites her students to feel into their ever-changing states of flow, while offering the opportunity to challenge themselves and find their edge within a deeply supportive container.
